madi’s story

Madison was healthy her whole life until she was 21, and an undiagnosed virus destroyed her lungs, and she needed a double lung transplant. She received that gift of life, which we are forever grateful for, on April 28, 2017. Tragically, her body rejected those lungs, and we lost her in this world on November 2, 2018.

Throughout her struggles, Madison displayed immense courage, finding beauty and joy amidst adversity. Despite facing challenges no young single mother should have to endure, she kept her focus on what was most important in life. She selflessly devoted her time to helping and encouraging others. She cherished time with her family and friends, especially her two young children.  Madi embodied a life philosophy that guided her through her toughest battles and continues to inspire us as we move forward with her in our hearts and all that we do, “Life Doesn’t have to be Perfect to be Beautiful.”
